Michelle N. Samuel Recognized as 2025 GEN Compass Award Finalist – Barrier Breaker Category
We are excited to announce that Michelle N. Samuel, the visionary behind SLUDTERA Inc. and MNS Consultancy, has been named a finalist in the 2025 GEN Compass Awards under the Barrier Breaker category.
This marks Michelle's second time as a GEN finalist, following her 2019 nomination for the Ecosystem Champion award.

The GEN Compass Awards, hosted by the Global Entrepreneurship Network, recognize individuals and organizations making significant contributions to global entrepreneurship. The Barrier Breaker Award specifically honors those who create access to entrepreneurship for underrepresented and underserved groups.
Michelle's work has impacted over 400 entrepreneurs and changemakers in St. Lucia, supporting more than 130 startups — 82% of which are women-led — and engaging 50+ students in financial literacy, startup training, and innovation. Her tireless efforts have sparked grassroots transformation across the island.
"This nomination represents every person who’s been told they don’t belong in the business world." Michelle said. "It tells them they do — and that we’re building the doors they need to walk through."
Michelle will be featured at the 2025 Global Entrepreneurship Congress (GEC) in Indianapolis, USA from June 2–5, where the winners will be announced and celebrated.
